To learn to walk in the LOVE of Jesus Christ; Then pour it out in our area and the world.
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
Worship.... Giving our full attention to.... Adoring.... Loving.... Reverencing.... might be some of the meanings given to this most precious word. John 4:23 tells us that the Father is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. In other words, one must have an intimate relationship with Him our Personal Savior. Knowing Him, Loving Him and enjoying His Presence to truly be a true worshiper of the Most High God.
Last week, while in Erie, I was sitting in McDonalds's play area observing the children at play. Suddenly, I realized that out of the six people with children in the play area only one grandmother was watching and enjoying her grandchild. All the rest of the adults were busy on their cell phones texting others. I wondered how many of them ever realized what they were missing. The giggles, smiles, chatter and at times, cries of their youngsters basically went unnoticed as the adults fingers and thoughts were busy on a little machine that is suppose to bring us all CLOSER!
Then, I wondered how many times I worshipped with lots of other things on my mind? Had other people, problems, details, and money matters often surfacing while in the Presence of my Loving Heavenly Father? Perhaps it's time to shut off the cell phones, the TV, the MP3's and really enjoy one another's dinner conversation. Most of all, it just might be time to turn off the worry, the noise of this everyday life and... Give our full attention... our Adoration.... our Love.... Ourselves... to Jesus.
